Rainier cherries are seriously one of my favorite fruits!  I’ve never met a rainier that wasn’t supremely sweet.  Fresh cherries taste nothing like what you find in fruit cocktails or atop a sweet treat.  This particular variety of cherries is hybrid, thus why it has a unique yellow to red hue.

And it gets better… 1 cup of cherries (including the pits) contains only 90 calories.  PLUS, they are a good source of potassium and Vitamin C.
