My favorite food memory was the first time was when I was a little girl and I watched my grandmother make homemade peach fried pies for the first time and then tasted them fresh out of the oven. I burned my tongue in the process but all the elements surrounding that memory will never be forgotten. I haven’t had a fried pie to taste quite the same since her death.

Thank you for sharing, Janine! Peach pie sounds like the perfect way to use up some Peach Truck peaches 🙂

My favorite food memory was my first trip out of the U.S. To Germany! I’d never experienced dinner in Europe before & didn’t expect dinner to be a four hr. event; But ended up loving the old cottage restaurant we ate at & would give anything to go back & have such an authentic German dining experience! I Love food & Live Traveling – I was in Heaven! 🙂

My favorite food memory was during my junior year abroad. I lived with a family in Paris and the best meals were the special birthday or holiday celebrations. I loved that meals could last hours. Nothing was ever rushed. There were always stories, laughter and wonderful food and wine.

OMG Tina I’m headed to Paris in a couple of weeks and can’t wait! Would love any recommendations you have for must-see sights & sounds 🙂

That’s great!! Thank you:)
There are so many places not to miss!! The Louvre, Musee d’Orsay, Centre Pompidou, Rodin museum and the Eiffel Tower of course. My favorite cafe is La Coupole and one of my favorite restaurants is Le Soufflé.

My favorite food memory is helping my Italian Grammy cook in her incredibly small kitchen for our extra large family. There was only one small table in the kitchen that could seat two people comfortably, so on the days we would make homemade pizza, the “extra”counter top from inside the garage was brought in and set on top of the small table to make enough room for the magical pizza dough process. Food and sweets come flying out of her kitchen nonstop, even today at 91 years old.

My first introduction to avocados is thus far my favorite food memory . My father and I were in Mexico and they made tableside guacamole dip!! It was the best thing I ever tasted. We canceled my meal and just ate the guacamole dip on table crackers. To this day I love avocados and guacamole.
